What does it cost?
PAM membership fee is 1.5% of the employee’s pre-tax wages including the fee for the unemployment fund. The membership fee is tax deductible. Membership for students is free.
The membership fees will be paid on:
- all taxable earnings, benefits and bonuses
- earnings for part-time work, even if the unemployment fund is charging its membership fee on the adjusted daily unemployment
- daily allowances and benefits paid by the Unemployment Fund
The membership fee for students
Membership for students is free and valid until the end of studies. If you work at the same time with the studies, you may join the union and the unemployment fund as a paying member. Thus you potentially accumulate your right to earnings-related unemployment benefits.
Membership fee for entrepreneurs
A self-employed entrepreneur pays the membership fee on the earned income based on his/her pension insurance premium. A self-employed entrepreneur cannot be a member of the Service Union United Unemployment Fund.
