Collective agreements are not made without members. The more service sector employees are members in PAM, the better collective agreements can be negotiated. That’s why it’s worth to recommend membership to colleagues, friends and family!
Be active at your own workplace and talk about the union to your friends and colleagues. Every member is involved in developing better working conditions for the service sector.
When you have decided to talk to your colleague about joining PAM, take some PAM brochures with you. You can ask for brochures from a PAM regional office or you can print them out online here.
PAM rewards all member recruiters
PAM rewards all the members who take part in recruiting new members. All members of PAM who have recruited new members are rewarded. Rewards are sent out every 4 months. If you recruit 5 or more members (not student members) during 1 January – 30 June or 1 July – 31 December 2012, you will receive an extra reward (price 250€). Shop stewards have their own rewarding system.
Remember to write your name and your member number/your identity number on your friend’s membership application form (on the last line with the text “Membership was recommended by” or “This member was recruited by”).
