Service Union United PAM and the employer representatives have agreed on an income development programme for the property management sector. By the year 2015, wages in the sector will rise considerably.
After long preparations, the Finnish social partners have reached agreement on an income development programme for the property management sector. The executives of PAM and the employer organisation have adopted the negotiation result on a programme that will increase the pay level in the sector to the level of other service sectors. Likewise, a new wage system is introduced in the beginning of the year 2011. ”This programme was designed to create a more competitive sector as compared to other service sectors with better labour supply and better availability of motivated and qualified work force”, the social partners declared in their joint press release. The increase in pay is agreed upon every autumn and it enters into force at the turn of every year. The first pay rise in the framework of the income development programme is given on the 1st of January, 2011. In the new wage system, work is evaluated according to the demands of the work assignments. Furthermore, the system will entail an education allowance, which is granted for employees with qualifications that are related to their work.
