Slow progress in facility services sector collective bargaining
Thursday was a long day of negotiations between PAM and Real Estate Employers on the collective agreement for workers in facility services. Negotiations continue Friday.
Collective Bargaining Specialist Jarkko Viitanen says that negotiations progress slowly. In Thursday’s negotiations they assessed the impact of both proposals by both parties.
Collective agreements determine the minimum terms and conditions of employment in the sector, so besides minimum wages they include provisions about working hours and rest, holiday bonuses, sick pay, and mid-week public holidays.
The current collective agreement ends on Monday 28 February.
