The dates on this page indicate when applications currently being processed were received at the Unemployment Fund.

First application means an application made to apply for earnings-related unemployment allowance for the first time or after a period of more than 6 months.

Follow-up application (adjusted allowance) means an application sent after the first application for a period of time which includes some hours of work.

Follow-up application means an application for earnings-related unemployment allowance from an applicant who is fully unemployed, laid off or in training, after the first application.

You can monitor the status of your application in the Unemployment Fund’s e-service under Applications -> Application monitoring. Applications sent to the Unemployment Fund will be visible on that page for six months after their submission.

Payment schedule for applications

Please note! Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are receiving an exceptionally high number of applications, which prolongs the processing time of applications.

The Unemployment Fund’s payment dates for the earnings-related allowance are Monday to Friday. Public holidays can cause exceptions to this schedule.

The first application will be processed within four weeks of being received. The processing of the first application takes a longer time, as it involves checking the applicant’s eligibility for the allowance and calculating the level of the allowance.

Allowances for subsequent applications for adjusted benefits should be paid within 2.5–3 weeks of the arrival of the application.

The payment schedule for subsequent applications from fully unemployed applicants depends on the day the application arrives at the Unemployment Fund. The below schedule is for subsequent applications sent through the e-service that require no further clarification before payment. The same schedule is used for subsequent applications sent through the mail, even though they require an additional 1–2 days before payment.

Electronic subsequent applications through the e-service:
