Training for members
Training gives more value for your membership fees
PAM offers a wide range of training opportunities for its members. You can participate in local training courses organized by your regional office. We also organize national training for supervisors. You can also access courses provided by the Workers’ Educational Association WEA of Finland (TSL) and KSL Civic Association for Adult Learning.
In addition, Kiljava Institute offers fun recreational courses at special member rates. Courses include physically oriented courses from dance to fly-fishing as well as languages and arts.
PAM offers finnish courses in Helsinki every fall and spring. Application period is announced before application starts. Ask your own regional office for language training in your area.
Training and money
Member training is provided free of charge for members. PAM covers your course fee, meals, accommodation and any possible travel expenses according to PAM travelling rules.
PAM’s regional offices provide a diverse range of training courses for members in their own region. The topics of courses vary by region. We also organize courses covering the same topics within all regions every year.
TSL and KSL courses
As a PAM member, you can also take part in PAM-approved courses provided by the Workers’ Educational Association WEA of Finland (TSL) and KSL Civic Association for Adult Learning with support from PAM. You can choose courses covering a wide variety of topics, such as oral and written communication, well-being at work and working community skills, job searches, general and intercultural interaction, as well as organizational skills. We provide our members with support for two courses per year: if your course is approved by PAM for support, we will take care of your course fee. You will only have to cover your travel expenses.
