Training for supervisors

Updated: 22.04.2020

PAM offers professional training for supervisors. The training course, material as well as meals, accommodation and travel are free of charge for members. Check the dates for upcoming courses using the training and events calendar (in Finnish).

The basic course in supervisory skills is intended for new supervisor members and it covers good management and leadership practices and conflict resolution, etc.

After the basic course, you can take the ‘We Lead’ course in leadership skills for supervisors and shop stewards. The studies are especially designed to consolidate interaction skills in relation to the role of a supervisor and a shop steward.

Work supervision for supervisors

Work supervision refers to trust-based teamwork led by a trained counsellor. During group sessions, participants explore the supervisor’s role and responsibilities and deal with the emotions and experiences involved. Participants receive peer support for their own work. There are several sessions per year, about once every month. For more information, please e-mail our Course Secretary to kurssisihteeri(at)
