Peer networks for immigrant workers In the network, you can meet other immigrants who work in shops, restaurants, cleaning companies, or other private service industries. You can share experiences and knowledge, and work together for a better work life. Welcome to the network The first network starts in the Helsinki-Uusimaa region in spring 2024. In autumn 2024, activities will begin in Southwest Finland (Turku area) and Pirkanmaa (Tampere area). Come join us! Who can come? All immigrants working in service industries are welcome to participate in the networks. You can come even if you’re not a member of PAM . Bring a friend along! Join the peer network in your region! Welcome to the peer network’s language club on Tuesdays at 5pm to 7pm at PAM main office (Siltasaarenkatu 18-20A, Helsinki). You don’t have to register, just walk in! These networks are places where you can share information about Finnish working life, learn new things, and improve work life together. For example: We can share experiences and advice. Learn more about workers’ rights and rules of working life. Practice Finnish. Get advice on job searching and preparing for job interviews. Discuss issues that PAM should address. Visit interesting places. …and much more that you come up with and want to organize.
