Annual holiday is accrued between 1 April and 31 March. This is called the holiday credit year. Commerce sector, property services, and hotel and restaurant industry have their own rules about annual holiday in the collective agreement. The unemployment fund will pay you an earnings-related unemployment allowance if you lose your job or are laid off.
