Home » Time for results – intensive negotiations underway for a new collective agreement in the property services sector News 27.03.2025 16:25 Time for results – intensive negotiations underway for a new collective agreement in the property services sector PAM and the Property Services Employers met today, Thursday, for the tenth time to negotiate a new collective agreement for the property services sector. Discussions at the table now also include financial matters. The current collective agreement in the property services sector will expire on Monday, 31 March 2025. The pace of negotiations is accelerating, and the time for solutions is now. – We’ve been working hard both at the negotiation table and behind the scenes to secure a fair wage increase and improvements to working conditions for employees in the sector. We’ve made progress on some of the textual issues, but there are still unresolved matters there as well, says PAM President Annika Rönni-Sällinen, commenting on the current state of the negotiations. In addition to a fair pay raise, PAM considers it important to address long-standing issues in the sector—such as the treatment of mid-week public holidays. Paid time off on public holidays is a right that should apply to all workers in the sector. Once the agreement period ends, the obligation to maintain industrial peace is no longer in force, meaning that potential industrial action is legal at that point. However, the goal is always to reach an agreement through negotiations. – It’s important to closely follow PAM’s updates on how the negotiations are progressing. It’s also still a good idea to ask your co-worker whether they’re already a member, and if not, to recommend joining, Rönni-Sällinen reminds. Collective agreement negotiations for the property services sector will continue on Saturday.
