Seven diverse people of different ages and backgrounds stand in a circle outside a building, smiling and stacking their hands together in the center to show solidarity and teamwork.

PAM is looking for 15-20 members to volunteer as PAM Network Leaders, to spread awareness of labour rights and unions to immigrant workers.

– Raising awareness and organising among immigrant workers is important to make working life better for everyone, says Organisational Affairs Specialist at PAM Heta Hedman.

PAM Networks Leaders also have an important role in sharing immigrant workers’ ideas and concerns with PAM. The group (formerly known as Impact Forum) is a link between the local PAM Networks for immigrants and PAM’s offices and governing bodies.

– We hope to form a group of members, women and men, from different parts of Finland, with different occupations and cultural backgrounds, but who share the motivation to make working life better for everyone, says Hedman.

PAM Networks are a platform for immigrants working and studying in sectors covered by PAM for spreading knowledge and awareness about working life in Finland. Currently, there are local networks in 10 cities. Read more
