Annika Rönni-Sällinen re-elected as PAM President and Risto Kalliorinne as personal deputy to the President in the Executive Committee

Service Union United PAM’s Union Congress has unanimously re-elected Annika Rönni-Sällinen as PAM’s President and Risto Kalliorinne as personal deputy to the President in the Executive Committee for the period 2023-2027.

The re-elected Annika Rönni-Sällinen, 47, has served as PAM President since 2019. She has over twenty years of experience in the trade union movement, including as Negotiation Manager at PAM and Director at the trade union confederation SAK. She’s a lawyer by education.

—I’m very happy and proud that I get to continue working with this fantastic group of people. The work is extremely meaningful, and I want to contribute to increasing the appreciation of service workers in society as a whole.

PAM’s organisational director Risto Kallionrinne, 52, has served as the personal deputy to the President in the Executive Committee since Autumn 2018. He has previously worked e.g., as Regional Manager and was Member of Parliament 2011-2015.

—For my part I want to contribute to making PAM an even more organisationally active trade union, so that we can strengthen service workers trust in their trade union’s courage and ability to improve terms of employment and working conditions, said Kalliorinne.

The PAM Union Congress will later today elect members of the PAM Executive Committee and the PAM Council. The selections are made by the 329 elected congress delegates.
